Out of hospital....

Hi everyone, thank you all for the lovely comments, cards, flowers all very much appreciated. I got out of hospital this afternoon after a visit from my Orthapedic Doctor this morning saying that I looked well enough to come home so a quick text message to my sister, Jennifer to come and collect me and get me out of this noisy mad house, as I had only recieved a few hours sleep from the noise and lovely fragrences...

I have not made it home yet as Manny is trying to put the bed & the house back together in between him returning back to work today, luckily Jennifer is a nurse and is on holiday so I have been getting full attention.

Many thanks to Chris for the long journey from Durness to Inverness and waiting with me, very much appreciated.

Thanks to Tilly & Christine for my t-shirt.

I will have to get used to being one handed for some time, pity it was my good arm, you would not believe how long it has taken me to type this.

See you all very soon.

Great news Brenda that you are out of hospital - obviously all that training being surrounded by a cantankerous nutcase has made you more tough and resilient to injury. Hope the full recovery goes fine and we'll be able to test out your drinking arm with a proper celebration shortly for everyone involved. ATB fir the noo, cc

I hope Chas means "All The Best" by ATB, Brenny - you'd better stay off the "All Terrain Bicycle" for a wee while.....

Glad to see ya out pretty quickly - take advantage of all those fun drugs while you can :)

hey Brenda ~ great to hear you are out of hospital ! Enjoy the rest and make sure Manny runs around after you ~ maybe even set him a few logistical challenges to make his day a little complicated :~) Any truth in the rumour he is planning to repeat the round so you can be on the last summit in person 'next' time ??? Take good care Graham K

Good to hear you are out Brenda. We all missed you lots on the last day. I'm still feeling guilty about letting you take the bike out, so that's a few dozen pints I owe you in recompense. Look forward to seeing you soon, take care.

Hi Brenda, I'm glad you're out of hospital and back home, and hope things aren't too frustrating, and hopefully you'll be back in action before the end of the summer.

Hi - it's Shiona from MFR news here. Quite interested in doing a wee piece for the radio about the Corbett climbing. Give 01463 22 77 40 a call if you're interested! Cheers.

Mixed feelings when reading all this news - delighted for Manny of course - well done - we really wondered if you had taken on too great a challenge - a fantastic achievement in often very difficult conditions. So sorry to hear about Brenda's accident - that is really the worst of luck so close to the finish! - but it doesn't diminish your input one bit so congratulations to you too and our best wishes for a speedy recovery. We have been sailing west of the Western Isles for a few weeks and a bit out of touch but tried to keep up to date from time to time.
