This blog describes Manny Gorman's successful round of all 219 Corbetts in 70 days, in one continuous journey by running, cycling and sailing.

Manny's 70 Day Schedule

The Corbetts are Scottish hills between 2,500 and 3,000ft, with at least 500ft ascent on all sides.

Day 61 – Glen Leitire Nature Trails – Ardessie

Manny started at 7.45am this morning for a 22 mile cycle to Poolewe, more food & drink. David headed off just in front of him and I jogged in just past Kernsary for 4 miles to pick up the mountain bike that Manny was cycling in with and had an enjoyable cycle back. Another stunning day for 6 hills which they off doing at the moment. A grand total of 26 miles today. Poor David was carrying all the food day, they away with a dozen rolls, pork pies, cakes, biscuits etc… but I am sure with Manny being around they will all be demolished by the end of the day. I had a lovely afternoon in Gairloch, had a walk around the harbour, and got to laundry facilities done, which were well overdue. At present I am overlooking Little Loch Broom having an ice cream. I don’t expect them back until late. I think the road bike east to Loch a’Bhraoin will be added to tomorrow.

Hi Manny & Brenda,

We're following your exploits with incredulity - I hope you're not sitting at home in your new house making this all up! Anyway, if you're really out there, hope to join you Saturday or Sunday for a few days.

Well done.

Good luck Manny. I hope you got all six in the bag today and were off the hill before midnight. Did you see that incredibly skinny moon hanging in the sky just after sunset this evening?

Manny, I've just had a look at my best guess at your route for today on memory map.
It confirms that you are totally mental!
it looks as though you are planning to travel around 55 miles and climb about 16,000 feet so I suspect you might still be out there somewhere as I type.
Brilliant job if you pull this off (although I don't really see any obvious plan B!) and top marks to David for doing it whilst lugging around 100 kilos of pork pies!
Sandra and I will try to catch up with you after work tomorrow evening. Hope you enjoyed the day it looks as though it should have been an epic.

Fantastic effort Manny.
watch out for the goml (get of my land!) on little Wyvis. He has a deer farm & he once chased Andy Dytch off the hill (don't know if he has a stick though). It would add some symmetry to your trip if you had a fight at the beginning and one at the end!
See you for the grand finale, heading N at the weekend. You need to finish on Wed though, Elma is working Thur night.

Ah Little Loch Broom and an ice cream Brenda - those were the days for me many years ago, must go up there soon.

Love you're comment Archie/Sandra - Manny is mental and it's now official :) :) !!

Glad to hear you're eating well Manny. Not too long to go now! Take care as always, Katherine

Brenda tells me that Manny didn't manage the 6 hills yesterday, finishing at 11 pm after 5. She had gone up Sail Mor to meet him when she heard he was calling it a day. So that meant he was starting today with Sail Mor then doing Creag Rainich and Beinn Enaglair, and hoping to have an earlier finish. By my reckoning tomorrow should start with Beinn Liath Mhor a'Ghiubhais Li. It now looks as though he will probably finish on the Friday. Weather has improved which is helping, hope it lasts, good luck both of you.

I'm so excited that you're so close to the end and enormously frustrated that I can't be there with you for the finale- as I sit here in sticky, muggy Glasgow cussing my work diary. Sending lots of Tunnocks inspired sentiments for the final bash. Take good care of each other this week...no scrambling down scree on bikes now Manny. Ellie x
