Manny survived Jura yesterday, (Thursday) where the weather improved and sounded like he had a good run. He finished about 8pm last night and was heading for a beer with the crew.
Long sail to Arran today and weather not meant to be very good today so they have to see how the day goes.
It looks like he will be at least a day behind and hope they don't lose any more time today. The bad news is that because he will not be in Troon as scheduled, I have a extra day which means I can go and do Stuc on the way to meet Manny.

Manny not long left Jura heading for Crinan Canal instead of Mull of Kintyre, too rough there, the canal should be interesting for them.
... especially as there are pubs at both ends and in the middle as well. What a test of willpower!

A thought for my dad who is sailing the "FINLANDIA" with some of the corbett runners aboard around the various offshore corbett's as he now spends a 3rd week at sea with them in some rough weather, keep up the good work John, and best of luck with the new book "cairngorm John"

0516am: Txt msg:"on my way now, will stop at Spar for a bucket of sunshine" Rain batters off boat roof.
0534am: M on board complains & of "pulled groin & sore finger" ???????
Destination Jura via Sound of Luing narrows.
"Finlandia" sweeps through whirlpools & tide rips at 10knots. Skipper John starts engine but does'nt engage gear "just incase we're swept towards rocks"
4.0pm: Arrive Loch na Mile, Craighouse Bay: Paps look stunning. Row M ashore. "Will only be a couple of hours"
8.20pm: Craighouse Hotel: Still no M. All agree "get another pint & some grub before looking for him" Good decision, M arrives soon after, took it easy, sore groin.
